"A Simple Kiss" by Lisette- all comments to: Lisette_1@mailexcite.com All the usual legalese: nothing here is of my creation. Aladdin and the Aladdin crew belong to Disney while Goliath and his crew belong to Buena Vista TV, I think. They're both really good shows, so I had to make a tie between the two, no profit will be made by me for these. Oh, also the song that I use in here is the property of Alison Krauss. Also, so you know when this takes place, although it's not really relevant and can happen at any time, we'll say after the "Hunter's Moon" incident and before "The Journey". As for Aladdin, we'll say any anytime during the cartoon series, or after "The Return of Jafar" and before "The King of Thieves". Brief summary: A crossover with Aladdin and the Gargoyles... what would Mozenrath want with Elisa? WARNING: may be a little harsh for younger viewers, not something shown on tv!! ***************************************************************************** "A Simple Kiss" Covering a yawn, Elisa Maza turned to look at her partner, Matt Bluestone. As usual, he looked like he was ready to fall asleep also. "Hey guys," she said into the tiny microphone pinned to her jacket. ***************************************************************************** "Yes," was Goliath's deep reply as he soared overhead, Brooklyn at his side. "Matt and I are going to make one last sweep of... WHAT ON EARTH!!!!" Goliath quickly looked down to see the car come to a screeching halt. "Elisa? Elisa!" he yelled as he swooped down. ***************************************************************************** "What the hell was that?" Matt asked, his face white as he pointed to the entrance to an old and abandoned mansion. "I don't know, but it looked like one of those things from 'Night of the Living Dead'!" Elisa replied, looking pale. As they climbed out of the car, they jumped as Goliath pounded to the pavement behind them. "What happened?! Are you all right?" he demanded quickly grabbing onto Elisa's arm. "We're all right Goliath," she replied shakily. "Well, what happened?" demanded Brooklyn as he landed next to Matt. "I was driving when all of a sudden this *thing* ran in front of the car!" "A thing? What did it look like?" Goliath asked curiously. "Man, it was hideous! It had the body of a human, but it looked like all of the parts were sown on, like in 'Frankenstein'!" Matt said, looking uneasily at the mansion. "Where did it go?" Brooklyn asked, looking around excitedly. "In there, let's go check it out," Elisa said, pointing to the open door. Nodding their heads, the group slowly walked to the mansion. When they got to the door, Goliath entered first, followed closely by Elisa, with Matt and Brooklyn bringing up the rear. The mansion was old and covered with dust. They could see two dark hallways leading off to their left and right, and a grand staircase leading up to a balcony, which divided into two more hallways. "Now what?" Brooklyn asked nervously, finally grasping the weirdness of the whole situation. "I guess we split up... I'll take the hallway to the left," Matt replied uneasily. "Well, I guess that I'll take the hallway to the right," Brooklyn piped up. "I guess that leaves us upstairs big guy," Elisa said, turning to Goliath. As they all turned to go, Goliath said "if you find anything, just yell into your microphone, and we will come to your aid." With that Elisa and Goliath walked up the creaking stairs. When they reached the top, Elisa turned towards the right hallway. "Elisa," Goliath called. "What?" Elisa whispered, drawing her gun. "Be careful." Elisa stopped to give Goliath a quick smile before starting down the hallway. As she walked, she silently cursed herself for not having a flashlight. At the first door, she followed police procedure, shoving the door in, and then running in low covering herself with her gun. After about fifteen minutes, and many twists and turns later, she finally reached the last door. Gatering her courage, she shoved the door in and ran in. The room was pitch black, feeling her way forward, she heard a sudden bang. Turning she ran in the direction of door, finding that it was closed and locked, just as she feared. As she struggled with the door, the room began to lighten with an eyrie light. Scared, she turned around to see an old mirror attached to the far wall, glowing brightly. Standing next to the old mirror was two of the things she saw earlier, even uglier in the growing light. She gasped as someone else stepped forth from the shadows. The man was tall, wearing some weird kind of baggy pants and a flowing robe. He was handsome, with long black hair, a pale complexion, but had an evil glint in his eye. Looking down, her cop eye caught all details, including the fact that on one hand he was wearing a big black glove, kind of like a plumbers? Shaking the thoughts away, she grabbed her microphone and said, "Um, guys... I think I have a problem here. I'm in a room with som...." was as far as she got before the man extended his hand, where a bright bit of energy shot forth, pulling the microphone from its place on her jacket. The microphone drifted towards the strange man, until it landed in his grip. Looking at it he said, "Now what is this?" He gasped suddenly as Goliath's tinny voice traveled from the mike, mixing together with Matt and Brooklyn's. "What sorcery is this?" he muttered as he quickly crushed the little device. Elisa watched all of this in amazement. Quickly she muttered, "Another child of Oberon I suppose." "Oberon? Who is this Oberon? Ah, it doesn't matter," he replied shaking his head. "I am Mozenrath, and I've traveled quite a distance to find you Elisa." "What?" she gasped. "How do you know my name?" "Never mind that, you must come with me now." he replied. "Oh, I don't think so," she replied with her usual Maza display of stubbornness. She raised her gun and was about to fire when a strange mist formed around her hand. Qickly, her hands became numb with cold. Gasping, she dropped her gun in shock. "That's better," he replied. "Get her," he said nonchalantly to his ghoulish looking friends. As the two things moved towards her, a sudden pounding started on the door. "Elisa?!" Goliath yelled. "Uh Goliath, get in here please, I could really use your assistance about now!" she cried, her voice rising as the things grabbed her arms. Fighting against their grasps, she knocked one across the room, and used a roundhouse kick on the next. As they came at her again, not even stunned, she yanked on the arm of one who grabbed her. Yelling in disgust, she tried to pull him away. Quickly she screamed in terror as the arm ripped out, dropping the still moving arm on the floor. "Elisa! Hold on, we're coming!" Matt yelled from the other side of the door. "My, my," Mozenrath said as he watched the beautiful one he had been searching for, the one called Elisa Maza, quickly dispense of his zombies. "She's even more feisty than that Jasmine. I didn't think they could come even worse. That's okay, I like feistiness in a woman." Quickly he turned to the mirror as more of his army stepped through the portal. With the gathered men, or the un-dead, they quickly overpowered her. Screaming, Elisa fought with all of her might as the things grabbed her arms fiercely and pulled her towards the mirror. "Goliath! Help!" she screamed as the one called Mozenrath stepped into the blinding light and disappeared. "No!!" she cried one last time as she was shoved through the portal, only to be sucked up into a bright nothingness... ***************************************************************************** As Goliath searched the hallways, he kept his eyes peeled for the strange beings that had surprised Matt and Elisa. Suddenly, his microphone came to life as Elisa's quiet voice broke the silence, "Um, guys... I think I have a problem here. I'm in a room with som..." was all he caught before the mike went quiet. "Eisa?!" Goliath quickly said into his tiny device. When there was no response, Goliath did a quick about face and headed back towards the stairs, with Matt and Brooklyn's voices echoing in his ears. When he reached the stairs, he found a confused and worried Brooklyn and Matt. "Goliath, what happened?" Brooklyn asked quickly. "Where's Elisa?" Matt asked simultaneously. "Down this way.. hurry!" Goliath called as he rushed down the hall. The three quickly bashed in all of the doors, looking for their lost friend. Finally, they came to the last door in the hallway. "Elisa?!" Goliath yelled as he started pounding at the door. "Uh Goliath, get in here please, I could really use your assistance about now!" came the muffled reply from behind the door. Goliath and Brooklyn quickly started pounding on the door, amazed that the simple wooden door could hold under their combined strength. "It must be some sort of magic," Brooklyn thought. "Quiet!" Matt hissed. As they listened they heard struggling from the other side of the door, and then the quiet was once more broken, only this time by a terrified scream from Elisa. "Elisa! Hold on, we're coming!" Matt yelled frantically at the door. Still, the door wouldn't budge, and they could only listen helplessly as Elisa struggled against something that only Matt had glimpsed. Startled, Brooklyn stopped his pounding as he heard Elisa start to scream frantically. Goliath growled low and his eyes lit up a fierce white as he heard Elisa yell, "Goliath! Help!.... No!!" followed by a sudden silence. Growling even lower, Goliath charged the door, only to fly right through it as it disintegrated beneath his weight. Matt and Brooklyn ran into the room, looking for the battle. "Where is she?" Matt asked worriedly as they surveyed the room. Except for an old mirror secured to the wall, the place was empty. "It's like she disappeared." Goliath looked around in amazement. Where could she be? She was right here, so close, and now he had lost he. A sudden flash caught his eye. Swiveling, he faced the mirror against the wall. Cautiously, he walked towards the mirror as it started to glow a hazy green light. "What on Earth?" Brooklyn said, backing away from the eyrie light. "Is it one of Titania's mirrors?" "I do not know," Goliath growled, "but I am going to find out." Tentatively, he reached his hand towards the glass, only to watch it pass right through. "I think we have found where Elisa was taken." With a growl and glowing eyes Goliath jumped into the mirror. Shrugging his shoulder, Brooklyn followed. Looking around, Matt sighed, "Well, they're not going to leave me behind this time. All I can say is that we better end up in a nice warm climate, like Hawaii, otherwise this Avalon stuff is not worth it." With that Matt jumped into the mirror and was sucked away... ***************************************************************************** The next thing Elisa knew, she was being hauled away from a mirror stuck to a stone wall. Blinking, she looked at her new surroundings. They were in some kind of alley, surrounded on both sides by two story buildings made out of a reddish dirt type of clay or rock. Everywhere she looked was dirt and sand, which gleamed a bright yellowish red under the beating sun. Sun? When she left it was in the middle of the night, here it looked like high noon, with a bright sun beating down out of a blue cloudless sky. Elisa was quickly brought back to reality as her captors started pulling and yanking her towards a crowded street. Looking around, she noticed that her captors were now all wearing plain brown robes, which completely hid their gruesome appearances. Struggling, the group entered the busy marketplace, just as a green flash appeared at their backs... none noticed. ***************************************************************************** Goliath rushed through the portal. Quickly he felt himself being propelled forward through the bright green light. As the greenlifted, he found himself standing in the middle of some alley. This was as much as he noticed before the sun turned him to stone. ***************************************************************************** As Matt was thrown through the portal, bright light started to envelop him as he was smashed into something. Landing in a heap on the sandy ground, he looked up to see the massive stone forms of Goliath and Brooklyn. "Oh no," he muttered to himself. As he pulled his aching body off the ground, he heard Elisa call out. Turning quickly, he saw a strand of her long, raven black hair before disappearing around the corner. Without a second thought, he ran forward into the thong of people in the crowded marketplace. As he pushed through the people, looking for Elisa, he was amazed by the sights and sounds that greeted his senses. Everywhere he looked were people dressed in strange robes, selling items ranging from scarves, to jewelry, to fruit, to fish! As he scanned the crowd, he noticed the many looks he was drawing to himself. What a stir he must be making he thought to himself. Instead of the traditional robes and baggy pants he saw everywhere, he was wearing his traditional suit pants, white shirt, tie, with a billowing trench coat following in his wake. Instead of the tanned to Indian faces he saw everywhere, his pale face was a stark comparison. Where everyone else had black hair, he had blonde. Just then he noticed Elisa's dark head being pushed into an alley farther ahead. On all sides she was surrounded by robed figures. Struggling with the crowd, he pushed ahead. ***************************************************************************** As Aladdin sat on the roof of one of the many stands of the market, he lazily watched the crowd. ~Now where on earth could Jasmine be?~ Eating a piece of fruit, he turned to his monkey friend Abu, "Do you see her anywhere?" Abu turned to his friend and shook his head no. Hmm, Aladdin thought. Suddenly, his thoughts wereinterrupted as he noticed a woman with long, flowing black hair. ~Jasmine? No, can't be.~ "Hey guys!" Aladdin said, turning to Carpet and Abu, "Is that her?" The two turned and looked at where Aladdin was pointing. Abu quickly shook his head and started to do a whistle. "You're right, she sure is beautiful, and not Jasmine." Squinting, he looked closer and narrowed his eyes as he noticed that she was being forced into an alley by a group in hooded robes. ~Now what do you suppose is going on here?~ Turning quickly, he grabbed Abu and jumped on Carpet. "It seems that our lady friend might need our assistance," Aladdin said as they soared towards the distant alley. ***************************************************************************** Being shoved and pulled around in the middle of a crowded marketplace in only God knows where was really starting to wear on Elisa's nerves. ~God, this is really what I needed tonight, I mean today.~ she thought as she was once more pushed, this time into another alley. As the strange things pulled her forward, the leader pulled his hood off, revealing the man who called himself Mozenrath. "It's about time we should be getting out of Agrabah and back to my place. What do you think Elisa Maza?" he said as he threw a ball to the ground. A bright light exploded up from the ground. Gasping, Elisa covered her eyes from the brightness. When she opened them, she was faced once again with another portal. "That's it! I've had enough of this," she cried as she elbowed her guards. "I am not going through another stupid portal," she stated matter of factly as she got in her defensive mode and started dispersing of the guards around her. The numbers quickly began to fall as the body parts started to build up on the dusty ground. "Hey!" someone yelled from behind her. Startled, Elisa turned around to find a man standing firmly on a carpet that was floating off the ground at the beginning of the alley. To top it off, there was a little monkey wearingclothes standing next to him with his hands on his hips. The distraction was all the Morlacs needed as she dropped her defensive posture for a moment. Moving quickly, it stepped forward and gripped her shoulders from behind lifting her in the air and tossing her effortlessly towards a wall. Elisa could only watch helplessly as the wall rushed to meet her, and then with the contact brought a stinging explosion of pain in her head as the world went dark. ***************************************************************************** Oops, Aladdin thought to himself, as the startled woman was picked up by one of the Morlacs and tossed into a wall. He cringed inside as she smashed her head and body against the wall, and then slumped to the ground. Even more amazed, he noticed now that probably only a fourth of the army of Morlacs remained. "Aladdin! What are you doing here?!" surprised, Aladdin looked up to a figure standing by a glowing portal. "Mozenrath!" Aladdin growled. "This is none of your concern! I'm not here to fight you or your precious princess, so just back off!" Mozenrath stated, a steely glint in his eye. "I don't think so Mozenrath! Wherever you're concerned, I make it my business!" Aladdin cried as he charged, preparing his attack. "Guards!" As the guards rushed in behind Aladdin, Mozenrath considered his situation. Most of his army was defeated due to the woman, and they were outnumbered due to the numerous guards getting ready to attack. Elisa Maza's sprawled form was laying behind the guards, with the burly men surrounding her prone body. With a snarl of frustration he turned towards his portal and yelled, "This isn't over Aladdin! I've traveled a long ways to get her, and don't think that you're going to stop me now that I'm this close!" With a final dirty glance, he turned and stepped through the portal, followed by his men, the portal closing behind him. Aladdin sighed in relief as Carpet descended next to the unconscious woman. Curiously he and the guard studied her. She was a sight he admitted to himself. The woman was dressed in pants that fit very close to her body, made of a strange material. On top she was wearing some sort of black shirt with shorter sleeves and a red coat of some sort. With guilt, he also noticed the small cut on her forehead which was partly covered by her long black hair. Sighing, he made a decision as he reached down and lifted her easily into his arms. Turning to the leader of the guards he said, "I'm going to take her back to the palace with me. She doesn't look like she's from around here, and if Mozenrath wants her, then the palace will be the safest place for her." The guard nodded in agreement and left with his troops. Aladdin hopped lightly onto Carpet and said, "Back to the palace." ***************************************************************************** Matt silently fretted to himself, he was taking too long. He couldn't help it though, the people were not letting him through fast enough. When he finally reached the alley he saw Elisa disappear into, he started at the sight before him. Littered on the ground were numerous body parts, but no blood was seen anywhere. A sudden rustle of wind caused him to look up from the gruesome sight. Gasping in amazement, he saw a man with longish black hair in baggy pants and a vest sitting on a carpet which was flying towards a distant castle. In his arms he cradled an unconscious Elisa, while a monkey wearing a matching vest sat in front of him. "What the hell?" he said aloud. Knowing that he couldn't help Elisa now, he did the only thing he did know how to do... he walked back the alley where his stone friends were sleeping. He's just have to wait for the reinforcements to awaken, and keep them safe in the meantime. ***************************************************************************** As Goliath slept, he dreamt of the night before. He had gone to Elisa's house before sunrise, wanting to talk with her before sleep would take hm. As he landed on her deck, he heard a strange sort of music float out from her open door. Curious, he entered quietly and said, "What is this?" Elisa quickly turned from her position in front of her stereo. "Goliath!" she said warmly. "I wasn't expecting you tonight." "Yes, well I wanted to see you before dawn. I can leave if you are busy." "Don't be silly Goliath," she laughed as she walked towards him, "I'm glad you're here, I was just surprised. And I'm never to busy for you." Tilting his head, he asked curiously, "Elisa, what is this that you are listening to?" "Oh, this? Well, I don't usually like country, but a friend from the force has me hooked on this singer. Her name is Alison Krauss, and she does a kind of mix between country and blue grass." "Oh.." "Here, I want you to listen to this one for me," she said, turning back to the stereo, a smile on her face. "Why?" Goliath asked. "Well, it reminds me a lot of you and me... listen," she said as she pushed play. ***************************************************************************** It's amazing how you can speak right to my heart With not saying a word you can light up the dark Try as I may I could never explain What I hear when you don't say a thing. The smile on your face lets me know that you need me. There's a truth in your eyes saying you'll never leave me. The touch of your hand says you'll catch me ever I fall. You say it best when you say nothing at all. All alone I can hear people talking about But when you hold me near you drown out the crowd. Oh Mr. Webster could never define What's being said between your heart and mine. The smile on your face lets me know that you need me. There's a truth in your eyes saying you'll never leave me. The touch of your hand says you'll catch me ever I fall. You say it best when you say nothing at all. From here the remembrance of that night changed into a nightmare. Instead of turning back to him with a smile and a short conversation befre he returned to the Aerie building, her apartment disappeared from view. In its place was a lonely cliff on a dark and windy night. Standing at the cliff's edge was Elisa. Then, next to Elisa appeared Demona. As the two fought, Goliath rushed towards them, but as most dreams go, he could never reach them. "Now you will die *human*!" Demona screeched at Elisa. "I don't think so Demona," Elisa called back, panting from the exertion of the fight. "I want you to die before Goliath's eyes, then he will see what a weakling you are," Demona yelled, a smile lighting up her face as she pushed Elisa closer to the edge. "Demona, no!" Goliath yelled desperately. "Shut up Goliath!" Demona snarled back at him, "If you had never met this human, then she wouldn't have to die. Her death will be on your head forever!" "No, I... I... I love her!!!" Goliath roared. With a scream of rage, Demona gave one final push, sending Elisa over the edge. With that push, whatever force that was holding Goliath broke as he rushed to the edge of the cliff and dove over. Further down he could see Elisa falling closer and closer to the rocks lining the bottom of the gorge. "Elisa, I can not catch you, I can not make it!" Goliath roared. Elisa turned in a graceful arc before hitting the bottom and called up to him in an accusatory voice, with tears glinting in her eyes, "Goliath, remember the song? I said that I knew you would 'catch me ever I fall'.... I guess I was wrong." With her final breath she cursed him and herself for ever meeting him as her beautiful body was smashed against the unforgiving rocks. ***************************************************************************** "NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Goliath roared as the rock casing broke beneath him as he woke from his stone sleep. "Whoa!" Matt Bluestone yelled as he dodged the flying stone particles. "Take it easy big guy, we're all friends here!" Brooklyn walked slowly up to Goliath, who was panting with his eyes glowing brightly, and put his handon his shoulder. "Hey, Goliath? Are you all right?" Goliath nodded his head slowly and muttered a promise under his breath, "I will catch you Elisa, always..." Shaking his head to clear the nightmare and quickly turned to Matt, "What happened? Where is Elisa?" "When we came through the mirror, it was day here so you guys turned to stone. When I came through, I saw Elisa being pulled around the corner of the alley. I followed as fast as I could, but the street was crowded with people, I think it's a market place. Anyway, I saw her enter another alley, well actually, it was more like she was forced into another alley by a bunch of people wearing robes, so you couldn't see what they looked like at all." "Well, what happened?" Brooklyn asked impatiently. "Sorry, sorry. Okay, when I finally got to the alley, I found body parts strewn all over the place, but the funny thing was, there was no blood." Goliath's eyes turned a bright white at the mention of the body parts. "Was Elisa...?" "No, Goliath, don't worry, they all looked really decomposed. They kind of looked like they belonged to one of those things that ran by Elisa's car last night." "Oh yeah, I forgot all about those things. They're what got us into this mess in the first place," Brooklyn said. "I now believe that the thing running in front of your car was all just part of a trap set up for Elisa. What else happened, where was Elisa?" Goliath demanded, getting back to the matter at hand. "Well, uh.." Matt stuttered backing away slightly from Goliath. He knew from experience that Goliath wasn't going to take this next news very well. Heck, he hardly took it very well when he saw Elisa unconscious. She could have been dead for all he knew. "Matt..." Goliath growled warningly. Straightening his shoulders, like he was preparing himself for the worst, Matt said, "When I came into the alley, I saw Elisa being carried by some guy... she didn't look like she was conscious." "What?!" Goliath growled, throwing his wings bck in an angry gesture. "Why did you not go and catch up to her and get her back?" "How could I?" Matt said defensively. "The guy was sitting on a fricking magic carpet that was flying away." "Magic carpet?" Brooklyn asked curiously. "Well, that's the only way I can think of to define the stupid thing." "No, I don't understand... what's a 'magic carpet'?" "Oh, well, it looked like a normal rug, except that it was floating in the air." Goliath, finally getting a hold of himself, turned to Matt, "From the looks of our surroundings, it does not look like we are in New York, or in the United States at all." "I know, I mean, everyone around here is tan with dark hair. Also, they're all wearing strange clothing... really baggy pants, with robes or vests. And that's the guys. The women are all wearing robes or next to nothing. Also, I didn't get to one of the weirdest parts, besides the carpet of course." "What?" Brooklyn asked while surveying their desolate surroundings. At sunset, the place was deserted. "Well, with the guy who had Elisa was a monkey. A monkey wearing clothes." "What?" Brooklyn asked again, only this time with more surprise in his voice. "Never mind all of that, we can sort through this stuff later. Matt, did you see where Elisa was taken," Goliath asked impatiently. "Yeah, that's why I waited for you guys. I don't think we could get in there except to fly. He took her there, to that big castle," Matt said, pointing towards the distant palace. "Well then," Brooklyn said as he started climbing the wall, "the monkey man is waiting for us." With that, Goliath slung Matt over his back and started to climb. When they reached the roof, Brooklyn and Goliath soared into the night, Matt held firmly by Goliath, off towards the awaiting palace. ***************************************************************************** As the fog lifted from Elisa's mind, she opened her eyes slowly and took in her surroundings. She was laying in a bed covered with silken sheets. The room was huge and spacious with columns everywhere and a really high ceiling. Everywhere she looked she saw marble and silken veils. "Weird, I wonder who there interior decorator is," she muttered to herself as she pulled back the covers and stepped out of the bed. As her feet touched the cool marble floor, she got her first good look at herself. Instead of her usual jeans, tee shirt, and red jacket, she was now wearing some kind of silken and billowing dark blue pants. For a top she was wearing something akin to a halter top in a matching dark blue color. ~Hmm, can we say scanty?~ Her feet were bare on the floor, her thin stomach was uncovered from right below her breasts to below here belly button, and the halter top had no sleeves, more like a tank top. ~Lovely~, she thought, as she picked her way around the room. Suddenly, a huge door to her right opened to reveal a woman dressed in a similar fashion, only in pink, with long black hair put into some sort of pony tail. She was very beautiful in the soft light. Next to her was the man that had called out during the fight. He was in a similar pair of billowing pants with a vest. He was kind of cute with long black hair framing his tan face. "Well, I see our mystery woman has awakened Aladdin," the woman said to the man beside her. With an ease and grace uncommon to most she walked up to Elisa and extended her hand. "Hello, I am Princess Jasmine of Agrabah. And this," she said pointing to the man, "is Aladdin." "Whoa," Elisa said, shaking her head. "Princess? Agrabah? Where in the heck am I?" "I don't understand... you don't know where you are... uh, I'm sorry but I don't know your name," Aladdin said sheepishly. "Oh, I'm Elisa Maza, and I *don't* know where I am. The last thing that I remember was that I was in New York City, in New York, United States of America, on the continent of North America, on the planet Earth, when I was dragged through a mirror by some jerk named Mozenrath in an abandoned mansion. I dont know where my friends are, and they're probably going frantic looking for me... I don't need to disappear from them for another six months. I had finally had enough and I was almost free when *he*," Elisa said sarcastically, looking at Aladdin, "decided to show up." "Oh, sorry about that. It looked like you were in trouble, and I thought I'd help out. But, it seemed that you had it under control." Aladdin said with an admiring glance. "Wait, wait... I've never heard of the places you've mentioned," Jasmine said. "Well, Mozenrath did say that he had traveled a long way to get her," Aladdin pointed out to his girlfriend. "Oh boy," Elisa sighed. "This doesn't really matter now, I have to go find my friends." "Well, we'd like to help you out any way that we can," Jasmine said, trying to be nice to this Elisa Maza. "But if Mozenrath wants you, he'll stop at nothing to get you back... trust me, I know from firsthand experience." she said, remembering all of his foiled attempts to bring her back to his palace. "Thank you... Princess, but I'm not worried about him... I just need to find my friends. Goliath, Matt, and Brooklyn are going to be very mad about now, and trust me... you don't want to see Goliath or Brooklyn mad," Elisa said, finally remembering her manners. Jasmine laughed graciously, "Oh please, don't call me princess... if I can call you Elisa, then you may call me Jasmine. If I don't allow my own boyfriend," she said turning with a sly glance at Aladdin, "to call me that, then there's no reason for you to start either." "So, then you're a prince?" Elisa asked, raising an eyebrow at Aladdin's clothes. "Well, no... but that's a long story that is happily over with, I'm quite satisfied with being a street rat, and Jasmine's fine with me being myself," Aladdin said proudly. "Street rat?" Elisa asked, confused. "Never mind," Jasmine broke in, "let's worry about these friends of yours. If you can give me a description, I can pass it along to the palace guards." "Trust me when you see my friends, you'll know." "What do yo..." was as far as Aladdin got before a roar broke the tranquility of the palace. "Elisa!!!" "Goliath!" Elisa yelled, hurrying towards a balcony, followed by a very pale Aladdin and Jasmine. When they reached the balcony, down below they saw two giant winged creatures and a man dressed in a similar fashion to what Elisa was wearing. The greater of the two things looked up at the sound of Elisa's voice. "If those are her friends... I'd hate to see her enemies," Aladdin whispered to Jasmine, right before receiving a vicious elbow to his side. Goliath looked up the great height, and was rewarded with seeing Elisa's beautiful face framed by her billowing hair in the soft moonlight. With another roar, Goliath jumped to the wall and began to climb up the smooth surface, his claws puncturing the rock with ease. Brooklyn quickly threw Matt on his back and followed his leader. When Goliath reached the balcony, he jumped over the banister and ran to Elisa. She went to him and laid her head against his massive chest as he held her close against him, putting his wings around her in a gesture of protection and care. Then he looked up at the two humans standing by the door, holding on to one another. With a deep growl, he put Matt's description of the guy who took Elisa with the one holding on to the human woman. Quickly, he pushed Elisa gently behind him, hoping to protect her from whatever happened. Elisa, noticing his protective gesture, put two and two together. "Goliath," she called, pushing her way between him and the bewildered couple, "It's all right... they're friends." "Are you sure?" Goliath asked uncertainly, "Matt saw him taking you away from us, you were not conscious," at the mention of the incident, he began to growl again. "Did he hurt you?" he asked, looking for injuries, ignoring her protests. When he found the cut on her forehead, his head jerked up to look at the two again. His eyes began to glow a bright white. "Gliath! Listen to me!" Elisa commanded firmly. His eyes dimmed down as he turned to his beloved. "Aladdin saved me," she said, throwing a wry glance at Aladdin, not entirely sure if what Aladdin did constituted as saving. Just then, the two turned around as a loud thump landed on the balcony behind them. There before them stood a winded Brooklyn and a harried Matt. "Matt! Brooklyn!" Elisa called happily, giving each a hug. "Elisa??" they both called out at the same time, looking her up and down in amazement. It was then that Elisa's clothing finally registered in Goliath's mind. "Um, it is.. er, very suiting towards you," Goliath stammered, amazed at her beauty in the skimpy garments. Elisa blushed a deep red as Jasmine came to her rescue. "When Aladdin brought her back, her clothing was torn and dirty, so I gave her something of mine." Matt and Brooklyn looked up at the voice, not noticing the two others with them. "Hey!" Matt called, looking at Aladdin, "that's the guy that took Elisa!" "No, hold it! It's all right!" Elisa called out quickly. "They're friends." "What?!" Matt and Brooklyn cried out at the same time. "I think," Aladdin said, a smile lighting up his handsome face, "that we have a lot of explaining to do. Why don't we head inside." "Um, before we do..." Matt broke in quietly, turning to Elisa, "do you suppose you could tell us where we are, or at least what continent we are on. From the looks of things, I'd have to guess the middle east." "Matt," Elisa said slowly, turning to face the group, "actually, I don't believe we are even on Earth." Elisa then turned away from her stunned friends and followed the group into the palace, where hopefully the answers they were looking for could be found. ***************************************************************************** Mozenrath paced back and forth in front of his dark throne in his equally dark palace. "I can't believe that street rat interfered with my plans again. Elisa Maza has nothing even to do with im, yet he has to involve himself," Mozenrath grumbled to himself. "Massster..." hissed Mozenrath's constant companion, the flying eel. "What is it?" he answered impatiently. "Are you going to get thisss human back?" "Of course you fool. It took me months to finally locate her... don't think I'm going to let Aladdin stop me when I finally have her. With her body essence.." "Body esssence?" the eel hissed. "Body essence, soul, same difference," Mozenrath said, sending an impatient glance at the eel. "Anyway, with her *soul*, I will finally be the most powerful magical being around. I will be able to conquer all of Agrabah, and Aladdin won't be able to stop me, especially with Genie on vacation. After that, the world." "No one can sssay that you're not following the bad guy rule book," the eel pointed out. "Now what are you talking about," Mozenrath said, getting beyond impatient with the annoying eel. "Rule number one for all bad guysss isss that their goal should be to conquer the world. No ssself ressspecting bad guy would have it any other way," the eel pointed out smugly, floating in front of Mozenrath. Quickly, his hand shot out and grabbed the eel by the neck. "Quit trying to get smart with me... you're starting to act like Genie, and that is a fatal mistake." "I'm sssorry Massster," the eel hissed, writhing around in Mozenrath's grasp, "pleassse forgive me, I wasssn't thinking!" "That's better," Mozenrath said as he released the eel and started pacing again. "Why," the eel hissed curiously, "do you need *thisss* woman?" "I don't know exactly why..." Mozenrath admitted quietly, "but all of my magic says that she and I are connected somehow, and that I can only gain such power from her. Her great beauty doesn't hurt the matter any either, although her feistiness is tending to aggravate the nerves slightly. Not even Princess Jasmine could put up such a fight." "How are you going to get her back?" "Well," Mozenrath said, and evil glint lighting up his eyes, "if Aladdinwants to get involved, he can get involved. We strike the palace at two hours before sunset tomorrow night. That way, the palace will just be settling down, when they're least expecting it. Also, since Aladdin got involved, we'll show him how it feels to have someone taken from their grasp, someone they need. Tomorrow, we'll reclaim Elisa Maza, and we'll take the Princess along too. After I gain immortal power, I'll kill Jasmine before Aladdin's eyes." "You don't want Jasmine for yourssself anymore?" the eel hissed. "Why would I want her when soon I'll have something even better? Elisa Maza has more to offer than Jasmine ever did. She's beautiful, can take care of herself, can offer me unlimited power by giving me her soul. After I take it from her, her soul will be with me, she'll always be by my side," Mozenrath laughed, thinking of the possibilities. "You don't want sssomeone with a body?" the eel hissed, surprised that all his master wanted was a soul. That's not the only thing he ever wanted with Jasmine. "Think about it fool... I won't be harming the body when I take the soul, a simple kiss will do that. From there, the body will look like it's sleeping, free for me to use whenever I wish. Gotta love that!" Mozenrath said, doing his evil laugh as it echoed throughout his dark domain. An hour later, most of the questions had been answered by both sides of the group. The six were sitting in the middle of a dining room sort of area. On one side of the table sat Aladdin and Jasmine, while facing them across the table was Goliath and Brooklyn, Elisa sitting between them, and with Matt pacing behind his three friends. Elisa turned to Aladdin and asked one more question, "So this Mozenrath guy, what's the story on him?" Aladdin's face darkened at the name, "He's as bad as they get. I guess you could say that he's our worst enemy. Did you see the glove on his hand?" "The plumber glove?" Elisa asked. "Plumber?" Aladdin asked curiously, "what's a plumber?" "Oh, never mid. Yeah, I saw it," Elisa said, wanting to avoid another long explanation. "Okay, anyway, years ago he traded his hand for that glove, and it's the source of all of his magic." "Magic?" Goliath asked, putting an arm around Elisa in a protective manner. "Is there something wrong?" Jasmine asked, noting Goliath's protectiveness of Elisa. Matt stopped his pacing and turned towards the group, "You could say that we've had numerous bad experiences with magic." "Yeah, you could say that again," Brooklyn muttered, thinking of Avalon and Demona. "Why would this Mozenrath travel all of that way to take Elisa?" Goliath asked, looking straight into Aladdin's eyes. "Um," Aladdin said, a little unnerved at the direct gaze, "I don't know for sure, but it can't be good." "What have been your dealings with him in the past?" Elisa asked curiously. "He's the usual crook," Aladdin said easily, "he wants to conquer Agrabah, and then the world. Usually, he goes for Jasmine and her father, but Genie, Carpet, Abu, and I give him a run for his money." "Genie? Carpet? Abu?" Matt asked curiously. "Oh, you haven't met yet," Jasmine trailed off, "Genie is on vacation right now, otherwise he would be of a great service. As for Carpet and Abu..." Just then the door opened and in glided the magic carpet that Elisa and Matt saw, with the little monkey sitting on top. Goliath and Brooklyn jumped out of their chairs in astonishment. "As you can see," Aladdin said, continuing for Jasmine, "Carpet is really a magic carpet, and Abu is my monkey friend." Abu jumped to the table and bowed, taking his hat off at the tip of his head. Carpet did likewise, folding his tassels before him. Elisa laughed delightedly. Abruptly, the laugh was cut short as she noticed the time. "Um, guys... I think we should find a safe place for you to rest, it's almost dawn." The two gargoyles nodded in agreement, and headed back towards the balcony they first entered upon. Aladdin and Jasmine looked around curiously. "What happes at dawn?" Jasmine asked cautiously. "You'll see," was Elisa's reply with a knowing smile as the group followed the massive gargoyles. When they reached the balcony, Brooklyn hopped on to the rail and took a defensive posture. Goliath hesitated before joining his second in command. Turning, he caught Elisa's arm and pulled her near and whispered softly to her, "We will leave for home when we awaken tonight... please be careful." "Don't worry Goliath," Elisa said with a small smile, "I'll be fine, sleep well!" Turning with a grim look on his face, knowing that he was leaving Elisa unprotected, he took his place on the wall. Before sleep overtook him, he called out over his shoulder, "Matt, Aladdin, take care of her!" With that, the two gargoyles turned to stone. As Aladdin and Jasmine looked on in wonder, Elisa and Matt turned away, both yawning. "I don't suppose you have a place that we could rest at?" Matt asked, trying to hide another wide yawn. Closing their mouths, Aladdin and Jasmine nodded, a bit stunned, and led them back into the palace. ***************************************************************************** When the two detectives awoke from their peaceful slumber, the wandered groggily towards the main dining hall, where they found Aladdin and Jasmine waiting. "Hi!" Aladdin called out cheerfully, "sleep well?" "Yeah!" Matt called out, "it was gre.." Suddenly a palace guard ran into the room and called out, "Princess, Aladdin, we're under attack!" Now fully awake, the four ran down into the courtyard, where they were greeted by the palace guards attacking some more of the Morlacs. "Mozenrath!" Aladdin hissed. As the four prepared to fight along side the guards, Elisa suddenly grabbed Matt's gun from him and shot over his shoulder. As Matt turned around, he noticed a Morlac flip backwards, only to get right back up again. "Man, what does it take to get these things down?" Matt cried, disgusted. "Rip them apart!" Elisa cried as she threw the gun back andflew at the Morlac with her foot extended. Her kick caught the strange being in the neck, ripping his head off so it rolled up to Matt's feet. "I think I'm going to be sick," Matt complained, turning a little green. The fight continued, each handling themselves pretty well. Aladdin fought them off using tricks and his sword, while Princess Jasmine worked with the hidden approach and surprise. Matt on the other hand soon gave up on his gun and started bashing Morlacs with a piece of wood left over from the remainder of a table. Elisa preferred the direct approach and used her judo skills to keep the Morlacs at bay. As she looked up at the sky, she noticed the sun beginning to dip out over the horizon, "Come on, only an hour more," she yelled to Matt, nodding towards the sun. Suddenly, Elisa was tackled from behind. As she struggled, a group of Morlacs surrounded her and pulled her to her feet. When she was completely immobilized, Mozenrath steeped before her. "Elisa Maza, so good to see you again. I do hope your enjoying our world." "Stuff it Mozenrath, I'm not in the mood for playing games," Elisa called, grim determination on her face. "Fine then, I think it's time we depart anyway," he said as he snapped a finger to his right. Just then, three Morlacs stepped forth holding a struggling Jasmine. "What are you doing?" Elisa called frantically, "It's me you want, let the princess go!" "Oh, I don't think so," Mozenrath called back, "if Aladdin wants to involve himself, then I'll take my revenge upon him by killing his beloved girlfriend, after I'm finished with you of course, for you are my priority." "Gee, I feel so flattered," Elisa said sarcastically. "Now now, none of that. Anyway, I should prepare you for travel... you're a bit too feisty for my taste. I think that I'll have to tone you down a little," Mozenrath said, stepping closer. As the Morlacs pinned her arms to her sides, Mozenrath put his hands on her face and pulled her closer. Elisa struggled even harder not knowing what he had in mind, and with no desire to find out. All she could do is stare helplessly into his dark eyes as he put his mouth to hers. At the touch of her lips she felt energy course through her. She started to tingle all over as the energy began to slowly exit from her mouth into him. Then Elisa's eyes began to droop and sleep stole over her. As Mozenrath parted their brief kiss, the human, Elisa Maza, slumped in the Morlacs hands. Smiling, he picked her up and carried her towards a glowing portal. Yelling over his shoulder, Mozenrath yelled, "Retreat my Morlac friends, we have what we came for." ***************************************************************************** Matt looked up in confusion as the Morlac he was fighting abruptly turned away and started to run to a corner of the gardens they were in. It was then that Matt Bluestone saw his partner, once again unconscious in some guys arms. To his horror, he could only watch as the man, Mozenrath he guessed from the plumbers glove, stepped through the portal, followed by the Morlacs, with Princess Jasmine struggling in their grasps. "Aladdin!" she called out one last time before being pulled in. Before anyone else could reach the portal opening, it closed. "No!!" Aladdin and Matt screamed at the same time. They were gone. "We have to go to his kingdom, now!" Aladdin said quickly to Matt. "No, we have to wait until sundown," Matt said, trying to calm the frantic boyfriend. "Why do you want to wait, they need us, *Jasmine* needs *me*!" "In less than a half hour, my friends will awaken. And trust me, Goliath is going to be one very pissed gargoyle, who will be more help than twenty of your best guards." "Fine then," Aladdin agreed, sighing at the sight of seeing Jasmine slipping through his fingers like that, hearing her last cry for him echo in his ears, "we'll wait for your friends." ***************************************************************************** The instant that Goliath awoke rom his slumber, he sensed that something was wrong. Turning, he jumped from his perch to the balcony, finding Aladdin and Matt waiting. "Where is Elisa?" he demanded quickly. "And Jasmine?" Brooklyn asked, echoing his leader's concern. "Mozenrath attacked the castle a half hour ago and took Elisa and Jasmine," Matt began. "Where?" Goliath cut in quickly. "To his kingdom I assume," Aladdin answered. "Can you lead us there?" Goliath asked. "Yes, we were waiting for you, let's go!" Aladdin turned on his heel and whistled back towards the castle. Not even a moment later, Carpet flew out towards him. Without another word, Aladdin jumped on and started to fly off in the distance. Goliath quickly scooped Matt up into his arms and chased after Aladdin, with Brooklyn bringing up the rear. ~Elisa~ Goliath thought to himself. ~Hang in there, I am coming for you~ ***************************************************************************** As soon as Mozenrath stepped through the portal, he began walking towards a special room he had made up for Elisa. The Morlacs holding Jasmine followed behind. When he entered the room he went quickly towards a low bed lying in the middle of the room. It was only a foot off the ground, in an oval shape, and covered in black satin sheets and pillows. For that matter, the whole room was either black, dark blue, or a blood red. Gently, he lowered her onto the bed. Turning he ordered Jasmine to be chained to the wall. Then, he faced his beloved again, as a warm breeze ruffled the silken veils dividing the balcony from the room. She looked so beautiful there, her silky black hair fanning out beneath her head, and her body lying there perfect and so vulnerable. It was then that he finally noticed her change of clothing. "My, my, my," Mozenrath muttered out loud. "Jasmine, the clothes you borrowed her simply look marvelous. The dark blue really suits her." Jasmine sneered from her place on the wall and called out, "Leave her alone Mozenrath. Sh has very powerful friends that are going to be pretty furious about now." "Do I look worried?" Mozenrath scoffed. "Oh, and I must admit that she looks far better in this outfit than you ever did!" he yelled back at her, not resisting the stab at her ego. Jasmine, on the other hand, just ignored the fool and prayed for Aladdin to find her as quick as possible. She had no idea what Mozenrath had in store for her of Elisa, but it couldn't be good. Mozenrath got off his mean streak when he noticed that the dark beauty was awakening. Quickly, he began to strap her legs and torso to the bed, chaining her hands slightly above her head. From past experience, he had learned not to underestimate his catch. As Elisa finally threw off the lasts strands of her strange sleep, she became aware of her surroundings. Seeing Jasmine chained to the wall and Mozenrath sitting beside her, she quickly began to struggle against her bonds. "You might as well stop that Elisa, it won't do you any good. There's no way you're going to escape me now," Mozenrath said smugly to his captive. "What do you want with me Mozenrath? What happened back at the palace?" Elisa demanded, furious that she was so helpless before this monster. "Oh fine, I suppose you want an explanation also. Well, all right. You see, I want to conquer the world, and in order to do that, I need much more magical power than I have right now. When I asked my trusty dusty magic to show me what I needed to accomplish this, it showed me you." "Me?" Elisa asked incredulously. "We're not even from the same world!" "Same world, different universe. I know. That sure made getting you a bit more complicated." "Well, how am I supposed to give you all of this power?" Elisa asked, raising an eyebrow. She obviously thought that the guy was insane. "I don't know why exactly, but somehow our souls are connected. So, whenever I kiss you I take some of your body essence, karma, energy, soul, it's all the same thing. You know what I'm talking about, you experienced it back there also!" "Okay, so what happens to me when you take this from me?" Elisa asked anxiously, remembering how she felt the tremendous energy coursing throughout her body and then being drained out till the darkness of sleep overcame her. "Your soul will stay with me, providing the power I need. As for your body, it will stay in a never ending deep sleep as long as your soul lives." "Uh huh," Elisa replied, ~he really is a quack~, "and what will you do with my body then?" Elisa asked, not really wanting an answer. Mozenrath lowered his gaze to her barely concealed body, "I'm sure I can find some use for it." "Well, there has to be a way to bring the soul back!" Jasmine called out frantically, cutting off Mozenrath's gaze. "My death maybe, but that's not going to happen. And with no further ado, I'd like to begin." Seeing the smile on his face, Elisa began to struggle even harder. Mozenrath laughed and lowered his body besides hers. "No!" she gasped as he got up from his position and straddled her. Bending forward, he lowered his mouth to her neck line, kissing along the top of the halter his hands moved down her breasts to her sides and flat stomach. Sighing in pleasure, he then lowered his lips to hers, ready to take her power. As their lips touched, Elisa felt the electric shock and the power building inside of her, and then slowly drain from her mouth. ~This can't be happening! Goliath!~ she called out silently as she became drowsy. Mozenrath felt Elisa stiffen beneath him as the energy started to course through her beautiful lips into his body. He tensed up as he felt the energy lift him higher than he had ever gone before. Moaning in ecstasy, he fell upon her, hungrily taking all that he could, as his hands exploring every contour of her perfect body. Sighing he lifted his head from hers, taking a break and a deep breath. She looked up at him groggily and moaned in protest, not having the energy to even fight anymore. Her eyes flitted shut as h once more sealed his lips to hers and continued to drain her. Suddenly, a loud roar stopped his pleasure. Surprised, he jerked himself up and saw a great lavender beast with wings, long flowing black hair, and with eyes glowing a fierce white standing at the entrance to the room, by the balcony. Jumping up, he summoned the Morlacs and watched as another winged beast joined the first, this one red with a beak, long white hair, and glowing eyes. Behind them stepped two men, Aladdin and the one that was fighting along side of him earlier. "No!" he protested weakly as he saw all of his well laid plans disappearing before his eyes. The strange beasts had an uncommon strength, his Morlacs being of no match against it. Before even realizing what was happening, he was dragged away from his unconscious dark beauty by some of the Morlacs, trying to get their master to safety. "No you fools, I can't leave without Elisa!" Ignoring his protests, they hauled him out of the room. With his last glance, he saw the greater of the two, a lavender beast with long black hair fight his way to Elisa and stroke her face gently. "NO!!" he yelled as the room disappeared from view down the many corridors of his palace. ***************************************************************************** The gargoyles and Aladdin slowly circled the palace, looking for the best place to enter the dark building. Suddenly, the group stopped in mid-air as they heard a female voice yell out angry curses. Aladdin turned pale and turned to the others, "That's Jasmine!" Without waiting for a reply, he zipped down on carpet in the direction of the shouts. After some minutes of searching, they four discerned that the noise was coming from a darkened balcony. As they landed, Aladdin jumped off Carpet and ran forward with Goliath, who had already set down Matt, and parted the vales. As Goliath looked at the scene below him, he roared in anger. The room was dark except for some torches on the wall. Along one wall ws the princess, Jasmine. She was screaming and yelling frantically as she struggled with the chains that bound her to the wall. Following her gaze, he gasped as he noticed a large bed laying low to the ground in the middle of the room. Elisa was strapped in the middle, and laying on top of her was a man, kissing her greedily amongst his moans. An eerie light filtered between their sealed lips. As he roared, the man looked up in surprise and quickly jumped back. Breaking his heart even more, Elisa just lay as the man left her, not moving with her eyes closed. Before he could reach her, some of the strangest beings that he had ever seen ran forth. The Morlacs, as Aladdin called them, were even more hideous than Matt's description. The battle began, and the tide quickly turned in the fours favor. Goliath and Brooklyn had no trouble tearing the strange things apart. As they fought, Aladdin saw an opening and ran to where his beloved Jasmine was held captive. "Jasmine!" he called, cupping her face in his hands. "Are you all right? Did he hurt you?" "Aladdin," Jasmine murmured in relief, tilting her head forward so she could kiss his hand that was gently caressing her face. "I'm fine... Mozenrath had no interest in me, he only wanted Elisa. Go to her, she needs your help!" "I will, first let me get you free," Aladdin said as he began tugging at her chains. "They... won't... come.. loose," Aladdin panted, straining against her bonds. Just then Aladdin was pushed gently away as Brooklyn walked up to Jasmine. "Hurry up, let me try," Brooklyn said, as he gently pried the chains loose from the wall. Without waiting for a thanks, he rushed back into battle. "Wow!" Aladdin and Jasmine said, turning towards each other. Quickly, Aladdin took his girlfriend into his arms. Pushing him away gently, Jasmine said, "Come on, the gargoyles and Matt need our help." Nodding his head, the two parted and joined the fray. **************************************************************************** As Goliath tore another Morlac apart, he rushed forward to the bed. Leaning down, he gently caressed Elisa's face. "Elisa?" he called out hesitantly. Elisa's head turned slightly as she moaned quietly. Goliath let out an audible sigh of relief, thankful that she was alive. For a moment there, he had feared that he had lost his love forever. Taking his hand away, he used his talons and ripped all of the straps holding her apart. With great care, he lifted his beloved in his arms, and walked to the balcony. In his arms, he could feel Elisa's soft breath enter and leave her body. Turning, he called over his shoulder and yelled, "Let's go!" Brooklyn, looking up and seeing his leader holding Elisa's unconscious form in his arms, quickly dispersed of the Morlac he was fighting. Turning, he grabbed a startled Matt by the collar and flung him on his back. Aladdin finished off his Morlac and let out a low whistle. Carpet, hearing his call, flew towards him and waited patiently as Aladdin hopped aboard. As they flew towards the balcony, Aladdin leaned over the heads of the Morlacs and grabbed a hold of Jasmine's wrists. Grunting slightly, he slowly lifted her on the carpet, and followed the others into the night sky, back towards Agrabah. ***************************************************************************** Matt picked wearily at the food that was laid out before him. This vacation royally sucked. When they returned to the palace, Goliath, carrying Elisa, Aladdin, Jasmine, and the palace physician quickly entered a private chamber, closing the door behind them. When Brooklyn and Matt tried to follow, the guards just shook his head and told them that they were under orders of the palace physician to allow no entrance. Now, Matt and Brooklyn were sitting around the table sulking. "This sucks!" Matt said angrily as he jumped up from his chair and began to pace. Brooklyn looked up from his seat and nodded in agreement. "Goliath's not trying to keep up in thedark on purpose, he's probably just too worried about Elisa and forgot about us." "Yeah, but we don't even know if Elisa's alive or what!" Matt cried angrily, "She's my partner, and I can't even be there by her side... Goliath's not the only one who cares about her you know!!" Matt said angrily, his face red as he paced even faster. "I know," Brooklyn sighed wearily, "I care about Elisa too. You're not the only one who wants to know what's going on, but there's nothing we can do about it now, she's in good hands." "We don't know that though. How do we know if this place has advanced medical treatments or what?" Any reply that Brooklyn was about to give was cut off as the door to the room opened. The doctor, Jasmine, and Aladdin stepped quietly from the room. Matt stopped pacing and turned expectantly towards them, "Elisa? Is she all right?" Jasmine shrugged her delicate shoulders and walked wearily towards the large table, half collapsing into one of the chairs. Aladdin quickly ran to her side, holding onto her hand gently. Brooklyn nodded his head impatiently towards the ajar door, "Where's Goliath? Can we go see Elisa now?" As if on cue, the elderly doctor stepped forth from the deep shadows of the room and said, "The patient is currently in a deep sleep... we have not been able to awaken her. Alas, she is not physically harmed, but does seem to be in a weakened state." Aladdin diverted his attention away from Jasmine briefly to tell Brooklyn and Matt, "Goliath is still with her. You can go see her now, but when you're ready to go, bring Goliath with you, we have to talk." Nodding their heads in agreement, the two moved quickly towards the door. As Matt stepped into the room, he saw Goliath kneeling beside a low bed, with his head bent over. "Goliath?" Brooklyn asked quietly. The large lavender gargoyle slowly lifted his head, turning towards his friends. As Matt stepped forward, he saw Elisa laying in the bed, her arms lying unmoving on the top of the blankets. Hesucked in his breath as he saw her unmoving form. The only word he could think of to describe the way she looked was peaceful. There was not a line to be found anywhere on her beautiful face, in fact she truly looked like a goddess. Goliath, understanding what was needed, quietly moved out of the way. Without any hesitation, Matt rushed forward to kneel in Goliath's place. Very gently he reached forward and held on to her limp hand. While his other hand stroked her still face gently he whispered, "Come on partner, wake up! We all need you out here. Your family needs you, the clan needs you, the force and the city needs you, I need you, *Goliath* needs you!" When he got no response, he gently laid her hand back at her side and got slowly up from his knees. Brooklyn looked on sadly from where he was standing and motioned for Matt and Goliath to follow him back in to the dining room where Aladdin and Jasmine waited. As the five friends settled around the table, Brooklyn turned to Aladdin and Jasmine and asked, "What's wrong with her?" Aladdin shook his head angrily as he said, "That's the problem, we don't know what Mozenrath did to her!" "Yes we do," Jasmine said in a small voice. All eyes quickly turned to the withdrawn princess. From the shadows under her eyes, it was evident to all that the experience struck her in a frightening and shocking way. "Jasmine?" Aladdin asked curiously, "what do you know? What happened to Elisa?" Jasmine sighed wearily and closed her eyes as the rest of the group drew closer to hear her better. Opening them, she looked down at her hands and began. "When I was grabbed by the Morlacs at the palace earlier, they drug me over to Elisa and Mozenrath. I tried to struggle and get free, but they were too strong. The Morlacs had surrounded and over powered Elisa, but she didn't give up and continued to struggle also. When she saw me, she asked Mozenrath what he was doing. She said 'It's me you want, let the princess go!' but Mozenrath said that he wuldn't let me go, and that if Aladdin wanted to get involved, then he's take in revenge on Aladdin by killing me. Then he made it clear that he would do that after he first took care of Elisa, because she was his first priority. Next he said something about preparing Elisa for travel because she was too feisty." "You could say that again," Matt said, thinking of the numerous times Elisa's feistiness was evident. "Shhh!" everyone hissed at Matt, and then motioned for Jasmine to continue. "Well, then he leaned forward and began to kiss her on the lips," Jasmine said, looking warily up at Goliath, watching his features tighten in anger. "Um," Jasmine stuttered. Goliath noticed the princesses nervousness and smiled apologetically. "I am sorry, but to hear that he did this to her is very hard. Please continue." Jasmine nodded and continued. "Well, the weird thing was, is that I saw a strange glow coming from between their lips. Then Elisa started to weaken. When he finally stepped back, she was unconscious." By this point, Goliath's eyes were glowing a fierce white. "Well," Jasmine continued, "after we stepped through the portal, we were taken to the bed chamber that you found us in. I was chained to the wall, and Mozenrath laid Elisa on the bed. When she woke up, Elisa got him to explain what was going on. Mainly Mozenrath said that like usual he wanted more power and that his magic said that he needed Elisa to gain this power." "What?" Brooklyn broke in, mouth hanging open in shock. "But their not even from the same planet!" "Same planet, different dimension, I know, that's just what Elisa said. Anyway, Mozenrath said that their souls were connected in a way that he didn't even understand. He said that whenever he kissed her, he took some of her soul, which would stay with Mozenrath, giving him unlimited power. After all of the soul is taken the body will remain in a never ending sleep." "NO!!" Goliath roared. "Did he do it, did he take everything? There has to be a wayto help her, to reverse it!" he said, wishing that Lex was with them. With his knowledge of the modern world and it's medicine, he could probably help. At this outbreak, everyone started talking at once. The four were arguing loudly amongst themselves about ways to reverse it and bring Elisa back to them, while Jasmine patiently tried to draw their attention. Finally giving up, Jasmine jumped up from her seat and let out a fierce whistle. The four men stopped their arguing and looked up, surprised by the tiny princess. "Would you guys just shut up and listen! I'm not done yet!" Jasmine scolded angrily. At the nods of agreement, Jasmine sat back down in her chair gracefully. "What I was trying to say was that after out little talk, Mozenrath began to..... began to... um, well he began to drain her amongst other things." At this, Goliath growled deep in his throat, wishing that he could just get alone with the guy for a couple of minutes. "I don't think he drained her completely," Jasmine broke in, before another argument could start. "You guys interrupted him, and also..... when I asked if it could be reversed, he said that maybe it could happen if he died." "That... can be arranged," Matt said, a scowl lighting up his handsome face. After this, the little meeting broke up rather quickly. As Jasmine and Aladdin left the room to get some well needed sleep, Brooklyn, Matt, and Goliath worked out a schedule to keep watch over Elisa. Once decided, Goliath entered the chamber, taking the first watch. As he walked slowly up to her bed, his heart warmed as he saw her eyes flicker open. "Goliath?" she called out weakly. "Yes, my love, I am here," Goliath called out happily, sitting next to her and taking her hand. "Are you all right?" "I... I think so," Elisa replied shakily. "I guess I'm just really tired. Where's Mozenrath?" she called quickly, trying to sit up as the memories came flooding back. "He's gone and you're safe with me in the palace," Goliath said reassuringly, running his claws gently through her silky raven locks. "Oh Goliath," she sighed, pulling him near in a soft embrace, "it was horrible! I felt all tingly inside as energy started to build, and then it was all pulled from me. I tried to fight, but I just kept getting weaker and really tired." "It is all right my love," Goliath soothed. "Not quite," someone hissed from the balcony. Goliath turned quickly, his eyes lighting up as he stepped in front of Elisa's bed, trying to protect her. "My my my, Elisa does have some very powerful friends," Mozenrath said from his perch on the balcony, "too bad they won't do her any good!" "Mozenrath!" Elisa whispered while trying desperately to move away. Unfortunately, she was too weakened and could do nothing. Goliath, focusing on the evil one unfurled his wings and roared loudly, his eyes blazing. "You! You are the one who has done this to Elisa!" he bellowed angrily. "You shall pay for this!" Mozenrath laughed at the display the large winged being was putting on before him. "I don't think so," he said as green energy shot out of his hand towards the monster. "Goliath!" Elisa screamed. "Ah, poor Goliath," Mozenrath mocked as he watched the green circle around the beast, tightening around it's torso and carrying him away from the bed. Goliath struggled in frustration, but could do nothing to free himself from the strange bands, they held him like a vise. Suddenly he heard pounding at the door as Matt, Brooklyn, and Aladdin tried to get in. Elisa's whimpering brought him back to the matter on hand. Looking up, he saw Mozenrath standing beside her bed. "Elisa!" he yelled, turning she locked eyes with her beloved and whispered "I love you." As Mozenrath lowered himself to her, Goliath whispered back, "I am sorry." Elisa nodded back, the tears in her eyes sliding down her face. "No, no, NO!" he yelled, tears streaming down his face as Mozenrath lowered his lips to hers. Goliath could do nothing but watch as Mozenrath drained Elisa's remaiing energy. When Mozenrath had finished, he turned to Goliath and smiled evilly. "Since you've been such a good sport and sat back and allowed me to finish my work.... I'll leave you a temporary gift. You can have her body for awhile, but later when I'm needing my pleasures from the most beautiful woman around, I'll come back." Goliath roared his anger as Mozenrath disappeared in a flash of light. The vise around Goliath disappeared, and he quickly jumped to his feet and rushed toward his beloved. Just as Jasmine said, it looked like she was in a deep sleep. Sobbing, he held his love to his chest, barely aware of his friends gathering around him. "I'm sorry," he repeated over and over again, "I'm so sorry!" With a mighty roar he stood up and faced the balcony "I will have my revenge!!! Do you hear me? I will have my revenge!" To be continued.... Like most people, this is my first attempt at fan fiction, so all comments would be greatly appreciated. Criticism as well as anything else is welcome, I am a beginner. Also, I may need a little bit of encouragement to finish off the story and not be lazy, I'd greatly appreciate any and all feedback. Thank you bye bye! :)
