HangGlide Note: This fanfic bases on the characters of Gargoyles, and they belong to Disney. I 
didn't write this story to make money, it 's only because I want to bring my fantasy on paper.
My mother tongue 's German (I come from Austria) so excuse the maybe not so good English.
That is my first fanfic, so I welcome comments about how ya liked it and perhaps what I could have 
made better.
This story takes place some time after Angels In The Night.

Before I start I want to tell Lisette and Skydancer: " I recommend your fanfics to everyone. You are 
both magnificent writers who were my inspiration while writing this story. Excuse me when the 
style of my writing is pretty much like yours but, as I wrote, I mainly speak German and I have to 
orientate by something.. I chose your style because I find it terrific."

						Devotion"

Somewhere in New York/Right after sunset

As down on street two young human teenagers, a boy and a girl, were walking down the road, 
Goliath watched them. It was obvious that they were in love. Sadness overtook him. Would his own 
love for Elisa ever be accepted by the world? he thought. And may they ever walk down the roads 
together like that young couple? He lost himself once more into thoughts of Elisa. 
He saw her standing before him in his mind, with her long black silky hair, her chocolate brown 
eyes, her soft red lips and her tan skin. He would always love her. He loved to carry her through the 
night, he loved to talk with her, he loved to hold her in his arms. He loved everything that had to do 
something with Elisa. 
Goliath imagined what it could have been like when he had been a human. That made him 
remember the vision that Titania showed him and decided that it was better to let everything be like 
it was now.
Suddenly, Goliath realized that he must have been sitting there on the rooftop for half an hour, 
thinking of Elisa. `Why do I sit here and dream when I could visit Elisa ?' he wondered. Goliath got 
up quickly and glided off. 

Elisa 's apartment/ca. 15 minutes before sunset

Elisa laid in her bed sleeping.

Goliath was gliding through the night sky, carrying her once more in his arms and holding her 
tightly against his massive chest. She knew that he loved her and he knew that she loved him.
It was a clear, cloudless night and the moon shone very bright. Elisa pointed down at the wide 
meadow beneath them and whispered into Goliath's ears: "There...".
"You were right, my love, that is a indeed wonderful place.." he said.
Goliath landed and laid Elisa into the high grass. He got down beside her, put one arm around her 
neck and looked up to the night sky. The crickets were singing and there was a fine scent of dry 
grass in the air. A cool breeze was blowing. It was a very romantic night. And they were lying there 
for a long time watching the stars, with the wind whipping their hair about.
When they both saw a meteoroid, Goliath asked quietly: "What do you wish for, my beloved?"
Elisa smiled. "As long as you love me I do not need to wish for anything, Goliath, I just want us to 
be together forever."
"And so I will love you forever, Elisa" Goliath replied with a smile. He felt that Elisa had begun to 
shiver. Goliath lifted her up gently so that she was lying on his chest now and he embraced her 
softly with wrapping his wings around her. He buried his face into her silky hair, taking in her 
scent.

Finally, Elisa turned round and started twining her hands through his hair, while Goliath began to 
massage her back softly. "My love", he sighed quietly. "Hmm.. what?" she asked dreamily.
Instead of an answer, Goliath pulled her closer, slipped his hands under her tee-shirt and fondled 
her warm, soft skin below, hoping for a reaction. "Mmm", she mumbled. "I love you." "I know.. 
and I..." He did not get further because Elisa sealed his lips with a gentle kiss. She kept her sweet 
lips closed until Goliath parted them gently with his tongue and touched hers softly. A feeling like 
an electric shock flashed through both their bodies. 
Moaning quietly, Elisa pressed herself against Goliath firmly so that he could feel her heart beat 
faster as he moved his hands upwards to her shoulders. She stroked her hands through his fine dark 
hair affectionately. Goliath shut his eyes and enjoyed her caress, breathing her breath and she his. 
He loved Elisa with all his heart and with all his soul. His angel, his dream... And he knew that she 
had the same feelings for him. 

After some time Elisa pulled back and faced her love, smiling seductively. Goliath opened his eyes 
and looked into hers. His thoughts swirled in his mind. He smiled at her kindly and whispered: 
"Elisa,...my sweetheart.. I will love you eternally, my queen, my lady.......hmm....." before Elisa 
kissed him again. She wrapped her arms around Goliath 's neck tightly. Goliath closed his eyes 
again and returned the kiss to her tenderly, not stopping to caress his beloved . 

This night the rest of the world didn't exist for them. There were only Goliath and Elisa.
They both realized somehow that it was not only great love they felt for each other. It was a feeling 
that combined love, trust and devotion.
Elisa had never felt something like that before. As she laid there, sharing a passionate kiss with her 
Goliath she suddenly knew that he thought and felt exactly the same way as she just did.

While he kissed Elisa deeply, Goliath continually massaged her back with one hand, careful to not 
hurt her with his talons, and with the other hand he held her petite body close to him in a protecting 
gesture. He was delighted to find Elisa caressing his chest with her small hands.
At least the kiss was ended by Goliath who pulled away and looked into the dark, warm eyes of his 
beloved Elisa. She smiled at him in a way that let him pull her even closer. Then she placed her 
head on his chest and closed her eyes. 

The wind had become colder meanwhile.
"Goliath..." Elisa sighed. "What do you think of right now?"
Goliath said: "The whole night I have thought of nothing but you, Elisa...."
Elisa smiled. Suddenly she noticed that she was very tired.
While Goliath caressed her hair softly, she was falling asleep.
The last that she remembered was Goliath saying: "My angel...sleep.."



Elisa awoke by Goliath's voice who said: "My angel...sleep..".
Goliath was sitting at her bedside and watched her as she was awakening. `Just beautiful..' he 
thought.
She stretched and yawned a few seconds, then she looked up.
"Goliath.." she said with a smile.
"Yes my love?"
Elisa rushed up quickly and embraced Goliath. He held her tight for a short time, then he stepped 
back and asked kindly: "Are you alright, Elisa?" 
"Hmm..", Elisa said, facing her love.  "I love you.."
"I know.. I love you too.. Elisa.....Any idea where we could go tonight?" Goliath asked.
"Indeed. I had a wonderful dream before.....of you and me.....of us together.
 We were at a beautiful meadow far away from the town....."
"I'll take you there if you want to, my dear." he said.

As she nodded, he scooped her in his warm arms and jumped off her balcony. Goliath whispered 
into her ears quietly: "I will make your dream come true..."
