This might help anyone who was having trouble following the first Treasures story. TREASURES TIMELINE Pre-1800 All the magical races are forced into extinction and hiding, either by the humans, or by their own choice. The gargoyles vanish into hiding when the humans turn on them all over the world. It was a last effort by all magical races to save themselves. 1994 The Great Reawakening The Gargoyles of Manhattan emerge, and will begin to bring Gargoyles once more before the world. They reemerged from seclusion first, fierce, defensive, and bold. 2032-2054 The Great Third War (World War III) The most destructive conflict in the history of mankind. Nearly every nation in the world turns against the nation of Israel and the effect of such a massive march over most of Asia leaves it in ruins. Nuclear retaliation, the Genecide, and three whole days passed where the atmosphere of planet Earth itself burned. Nearly half the human population was destroyed, as well as a third of the cities of the earth. The 22nd Century Time of the First Contact Rifraf left behind by the conflict began using the weapons left behind by the war, and turned them into tools. Spaceflights were made by daredevils, trying to break records and get fame and glory. One man, who had taugh physics before the Great War, used high powered magnets to travel faster than light. Neighboring world discovor this, and they make contact. A time of light for humans, this was the last age of darkness for the magical races of the world. Gargoyles were the first to be confined to reservations as the war started. Backhandedly, they were called the "Savage" reservations, like insensitive persons would call Native American reservations of our day. The Twenty-Third Century - The Time of Seperation The magical creatures began to come to life again as the humans struggled to regain their own lives. As the humans began to travel across the stars and off-world races were discovored and began to arrive, and the great alliances began to form. Earth was a world aligned with many others, forming a Federation ready to promote a search for life and knowledge wherever it may be. The magical races were joined by others from off-world, and the reservations appeared across the world. Although the world was still plagued with problems, they were minor. The world was gaining peace with itself again. The Twenty-Fourth Century The Time of Growth They forgot, however, that it lay right beneath their own noses for many years, until the magical races began to grow in numbers. The climate had changed after the Great Third War, and now the deserts had become the most extensive rain forests the world had known, life and rain covored the canyons, and the magic began to thrive once again as the land and the life met. Once again a balance was restored, the Earth gave life to the waters, and the life of the Earth could be felt once more. They are considered strangers to their world, the freaks, the rebels, and the savages. Magical beings, peaceful and malevolent alike, forming communities to support one another, to regroup, and to grow in numbers. Now, a new century approaches. Three young women are about to reshape their world to usher in a new age of joy for themselves, or of terror for every magical species known to mankind. She always smells of Oak for some strange reason. Read/Write: No. Origins: The Old Navajo Forests Story: Treasures History: Hatched in captivity in a very run-down zoo in New Salt Lake City. He was raised by machines and underpaid Zoo keeprs. His only habits that raise him above the animals around him were self-taught. He understands spoken language, but cannot make it. He only remembers one human who had ever shown him compassion, and that was a nursery worker who breast-fed him out of her own compassion when the machines were broken and he was young and starving to death. She was fired a long time ago, visited him occasionally, but soon grew old an passed away. Hates the humans at the zoo with violent passion, especially his trainer who fed off Reiga's fear of him. He was forced to perform twice a day for large crowds. (LATER=His father was also one who escaped imprisonment in the zoos, and met Arima out in the forest. However, he was killed before seeing him hatch. Arima commented to Leyanara when she met a new "boy" she was interested in the sunday before Arima's death. See chapter One.) Magic skills: None. Read/Write: Yes. Origins: Suffolk, England Story: Treasures History: Born in England, was looking at a low paying dead-end job as she graduated from high school. Ran away one night with some family problems, and vanished. She found herself under the care of Ilira, who offered her any dream. She chose to have wings, but met utter rejection once more. She asked Ilira to take the wings away, and as payment, Ilira cast a spell over her mind and turned her into Ilira's slave and minion. When Ilira began to plan her revenge on Mankind, she chose Amberlee because of her youth to be the one to undertake the transformation for the queen of the race of creatures she was designing. Her changing was horrible, and she became Sentaria, the dark creature which changed all the victim Ilira brought her into lesser version of herself, and complete minions to Ilira's will. However, her own mind fought the spell on her mind for 400 years, and finally the spell broke under sheer stress of time. Sentaria realized what she had become, and tried to foil Ilira's plans. When she failed, Ilira tried to control Sentaria again, but she managed to get away. She's been on her own, starving, ever since. Appearance: Her skin in pale human skin, but with compound insect eyes, five-inch fangs, eight legs with two footpads on each, and an enourmous thorax attached to her chest, making her appear like a human trying to immitate a spider. She can spin silk, and has already layed three of her eggs, somehow inseminated through a means only Ilira knows of. She has transformed thousands of people into lesser version of herself, and was is her job to revitalize them all once a year. When she escaped, she was so disgusted at her own appearance, the only solution she managed was to try and pull a shirt on, which has since been tattered.
