T H E P H A N T O M O F T H E N I G H T A Gargoyle Tale of Epic Proportions Series Summary Based off the GARGOYLES episode The Mirror, The Phantom of the Opera, and my previous failed attempts at fan fiction with Fireblood, parts one and two, I managed to take all the powerful ideas that Gargoyles had sparked in my imagination, and turn them into a very real adventure. I had first intended to do twenty short chapters, but instead it came out as five different stories weaving together to form the entire story of Christine Shelton (not Daae) and her Phantom of the Night. (She had two -- who is the second, can you guess?) CHAPTER I: Transformation by Dasha Ariel The tale of Christine Shelton a socially withdrawn young college girl who meets the gargoyle Phantom, and suddenly, unwillingly, finds herself forced into a war between good and evil fay when she herself is transformed into a gargoyle. Could it be her mother had always been one? Meet her roommate Mandy, Christine's roommate, the social extrovert with a dark side. Finally, meet Obscurmalo, the strange old man who wants them all dead - and fast! CHAPTER II: Clan by Dasha Ariel and Sharm The "weird chapter". Christyne is dealt a serious blow in a battle with other gargoyles, and loses her memory. However, as it slowly returns, it soon becomes apparent that she is remembering the wrong memories! Could it be possible she had always been a gargoyle? Who are these ex-humans turned gargoyles named Macaren and Lisonja. What do they want? Who is this human who calls himself Shakespeare, whose every other word he says seems to be a lie. CHAPTER III: Old Friends? by Dasha Ariel, Sharm, and Leva Mevis Meet Sharm! She's strange, she talks nonsense, she does nothing but joke around, and she seems to know all the things Christine and others need to know, but can't find out. How long can Phantom hold out without throttling Malcora who insists on playing lovey-dovey with Macaren? Where is Christine when Phantom needs her? And who in heaven and earth is Sharm anyway? CHAPTER IV: Family by Dasha Ariel, Addersting, and Sharm M ichael Shelton has just buried his oldest daughter right next to her deceased mother, when, while camping in California, young Matthew is killed saving the life of another gargoyle, and to save his life his is transformed in the a young eagle-headed gargoyle. Matthew falls in love with the young gar-girl he saved, and Christine learns the full extent of her past life as a gargoyle. When she and Phantom are ruthlessly attacked by hunters on Halloween, they are astonished to learn who is behind it, but not soon enough to stop him from killing one of Christine's new friends. CHAPTER V: Cats by Dasha Ariel and Sharm Christine has gone haywire. Why does she kill Macaren and is trying to kill Sharm? What big secret is Phantom trying to explain to Christine? What adventures lay before them on Oberon's mystical island of Avalon as the final battle in this war between the Seelie and Unseelie courts of Fay are decided when Christine gives birth to her very first child. If it is a human, then Obscurmalo and his Unseelie will rule and enslave humanity, but if she forever surrenders her human self and lays a gargoyle's egg, she can save them from the Unseelie. Can Christine make that kind of a sacrifice? Does she even have a choice? CHAPTER VI: Millennium by Dasha Ariel and Sharm Thusly, the war with the Unseelie supporters has reached it's conclusion with surprising results! But where have Christine's brother Matthew and sister Keturah gone? Is it possible for Christine and her friends to bring Christine's mother Tutela back to life? What on earth is Sharm ranting and raving about THIS time? How can they restore the young lovers Matthew and Tigris to eachother once more? CHAPTER VII: Cearda's Battle by Dasha Ariel and Terese Sinclair Thusly all is well with Tutela, her long missing mother. Let us go back a bit and away from Christyne and Phantom for a moment. Set during the time between "Cats" and "Millenium", we hear the tale of how Matthew had become involved with Demona and her clan of human-hunters. What is the Clann na Ochter Oidhche Bheithir? And just how did Eagle come to be called Iolair, anyway? Originally written as a fiction writing contest between Dasha Ariel and Terese Sinclair, it's adventure was adapted for the Phantom Saga. CHAPTER VIII: Oracle by Dasha Ariel Thusly, Matthew became Iolair, and in Millenium he was restored to his young lover Tigris. Now it is time for their wedding! But in a time of such enchantment and merriment, a dark secret is haunting Iolair. Why is their happy marriage falling apart at the seams? What could possibly turn Tigris's love for him into murderous hatred? What is the dark secret that has been haunting young Matthew since the day he was born? What could possibly be so serious for Matthew to attempt suicide? CHAPTER IX: Angels In the Night by Dasha Ariel Think the Avalon adventures ended when Goliath and Elisa returned to Manhattan in 1998? Think again, my friends! Almost twenty five years after Christine's first transformation into the magical world of the gargoyles, young Matthew has grown up into the beautiful gargoyle woman Tigris Euphrates. After a miserable eighteenth (thirty sixth?) birthday party, she embarks for Avalon to search for Sharm who has mysteriously vanished! Could it be Sharm has allied herself with the dark fairies of the Unseelie court? Could it be that Tigris has found True Love's promise? What is the truth behind the myths and tales of Angels in the rainforests across the state of Washington - Christine and young Matthew's one time home? In the most thrilling adventure since Christine's first adventures with Phantom, Tigris and her new friends must show down with the Weird Sisters and the Unseelie Court for one last time! CHAPTER X: Cross of Changes by Dasha Ariel Once, tribes of Native Americans were gathered up, forcefully driven across the United States, and slaughtered in the millions. Michael Shelton is dying of cancer, and pleads with his children to see them, and his grandchildren before he dies. He gives them a warning - the hunters with which he had once associated himself were building some kind of new weapon with which to drive all gargoyles to extinction. In force, the two clans combine forces to surgically strike at their secret base in New Mexico. Tutela reflects back on the gargoyles she had once saved before meeting her untimely human demise. Christyne vows never to let such a holocaust happen - to anyone - ever again. CHAPTER XI: Deception by Dasha Ariel The time has finally come to America's elected officials meet and decide if Gargoyles deserve the right to be citizens. The Olympia and Utah clans finally get the chance to meet the Manhattan clan. However, there are plenty who would like to see that Amendment fail! No more so than the gargoyle who raped Tigris and caused Erik to expel her from their home! Because once they're broken up, they can't stop an organized crime group from smuggling three nuclear bombs into the United States to kill and maim innocent people. Christyne reflects on the time when she fell in love with Sir Joseph.
