SCOTT THOMAS (Producer/Director), a Los Angeles native, was inspired by his grandfather, a film editor, to enter the entertainment industry.
The bulk of Thomas experience is in live-action television series and movies. He has served in a variety of capacities on "One West Waikiki," "Secret Vows," "Amerian Ninja 5: Little Ninja Man," "P.S.1.LUV U," Two Fathers Justice" "Charlie Hannah," "Silent Assasins," "Jesse Hawkes," and "The Color of Evening," to name a few.
After a brief stint at Marvel comics, he was hired to work on his first animated series, "X-men," which launched him on a career path in animation. Thomas has since worked on "Ultraforce," and "Gargoyles: The Goliath Chronicles."
ERIC LEWALD (Story Editor) graduated from the University of Tennessee, and landed his first job at Hanna Barbera as a writer on "Challenge of the Gobots." Finding that writing to storyboards in animation was a lot like "directing on the page," Lewald settled into his new craft. He has since worked as story editor, writer and in development for more than a dozen animated series including: "X-Men," "The Tick," "Beetlejuice," "Street Fighter," "Exo Squad," "Iron Man," "B.A.D." "Skeleton Warriors," "Sky Commanders," and "Johnny Quest," to name a few.
From 1987-1990, Lewald was employed as a staff writer for Walt Disney Television Animation, working on series such as, "The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh," "Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers," "Tale Spin," and "Darkwing Duck."
GREG WEISMAN (Series Creator). The idea for "Gargoyles" sprang from Greg Weismans appreciation for medieval architecture. While studying at Oxford University, Weisman admired the stone carvings of mythical beasts and monsters on the exterior walls of the ancient campus buildings, not only at Oxford, but all around Europe. Several years later, while brainstorming at Walt Disney Television Animation, these gargoyle images reappeared in Weismans head: Why not create a series about a brood of ugly stone monsters from days gone by?
After nearly two years of development, research, writing and art direction under Weismans supervision, "Gargoyles" was born. Weisman left the series shortly after the completion of its second season to pursue other projects, but acted as a consultant on the spin-off series, "Gargoyles: The Goliath Chronicles," for which he also wrote the pilot script.
"Gargoyles: The Goliath Chronicles" is produced
