"My name is Maggie, Maggie Reed. I'm from Ohio."

Maggie is a submissive and naive. She is quite dependant on her mate, Talon, and cannot properly function without him, as seen in "Kingdom". She is quite friendly towards humans and hopes to have a family with Talon someday, provided the mutation of her body allows her to bear children. She has told Talon many times and refused to fight, making her an almost useless party member other than for support.

Species: Winged Mutate (Lion)
Eyes: Yellow; she is the only mutate whose eyes have never glowed.
Hair: Red Lion's Mane
Abilities: Limited Flight; can flap her wings to produce some actual flight unlike gargoyles who can only glide. No magical elemental projectiles.

Mutation:
Maggie came to New York with her life savings hoping to make it big as an actress on Broadway. (No, not the gargoyle!) Unfortunately, like most hopefuls who come to New York seeking fame and fortune, she was on the street within a week. Having either been conned out of her money or squandered it on false hopes she lay among the slums trying to keep warm around the low lifes of NY. Penniless, she was offered a job that required no training as a laboratory assistant from one Doctor Anton Sevarius. With no other option available she took the job which was actually a front for Sevarious to get more willing subjects for his mutations. Sevarius, being Gen-U-Tec's chief geneticist, transformed Maggie into a bat-winged lion mutate. After her transformation, she was allowed to escape, as part of a plot by Sevarius and Xanatos to lure the gargoyles into interfering the mutation of Derek, or Talon the panther-winged mutate, so that he would have a grudge against Goliath and his clan. Xanatos's main objective was to copy the gargoyles and have his own personal castle guards to which to fend off any attack from the gargoyles with the help of a properly planned scheme in which Derek becomes Talon and is told that Sevarius and Goliath were in league all along.

Much to her distress, Maggie is 'rescued' by a love sick Brooklyn, which sets the scene for Xanatos to set Goliath and his clan up as the guilty party. They bring her to their home and expect her to stay put while they exited and entered stone sleep. Maggie siezed this opportunity and returned to Xanatos into the waiting arms of Talon and the two other mutates, Claw, a tiger, and Fang, a mountain lion.

After a quick fake death played out by the doctor back at the lab, Derek Maza believes that his one last chance at humanity is lost and accepts his fate, finding comfort in Maggie's company to keep him docile, while she finds true humanity in her love for him. Due to Maggie's companionship Talon is able to keep an almost level head in his decision making and self proclaimed leadership of the mutates, to which Fang is always questioning.

They meet the gargoyles a second time after Elisa uncovers a starling fact: (surprise, surprise!) Xanatos owns Gen-U-Tec. They and Elisa journey to the castle to find the mutates less than willing to cooperate since they also discover that Xanatos has them snowed. (He tricked them.) The mutates attack, even Maggie, (there's a shocker) and the gargoyles eventually drive the mutates away.

"The Cage":
Maggie and the others soon find their way back to Xanatos after a few months, signaled by the arrival of Talon at his family's window causing Elisa to go into mental unrest and needing answers that Goliath was hoping to spare her from. When Elisa was told the truth about her brother she and Goliath arrived at the castle into Talon's waiting claws. Fang and Claw jumped him while Talon was ready to fight off his own sister to kill Goliath, yet Maggie kept her cool through it all. She made Talon think twice about harming his sister and fighting against Goliath would not bring about any sort of satisfaction, he protested and that allowed Elisa and Goliath to slip past Talon as he called out to Goliath to be scared of him.

Soon after Maggie reveals that she has been to their home. (Although Talon greatly wanted to kill Goliath he did not join the other three in storming the gargoyles' home. Also if you look closely Fang turns into Talon by mistake about three times in the fight between Brooklyn and when he was knocked out and being carried home. It seems not even the gargoyles series is above mistakes.) When Maggie showed up to greet Hudson, Fang and Claw jumped him, restraining him in chains. (Don't ask me where they found the chains, possibly from the clock's mechanisms.) The trio (Broadway, Brooklyn, and Lexington) return after a concert in the park and find their home quiet. When Hudson screams "It's a trap!" all hell breaks loose and eventually the mutates get their butts whooped. Maggie is then forced to face the facts but still denies Xanatos's involvement in her transformation, still believing he is her only hope for being human again.

Goliath then kidnaps Sevarius hoping to force a cure from him to ease Elisa's pain. When that failed the mutates showed up once again looking for revenge and meet Xanatos with his steel clan robots ready to defend Sevarius. Sevarius and Xanatos exit leaving a distressed Talon with the truth and looking like a fool. Maggie then takes the supposed antidote hoping it is not what everyone believes it to be, poison. Due to her and Talon's combined strength they accept their new forms and live in the abandoned Cyberbiotics lab. Maggie is then introduced to Derek's parents, imagine their joy.

"Kingdom":
Talon is lead away to seek answers from Xanatos for the disappearance of his sister by Fang after discovering a weapons supply installment from Cyberbiotics. Maggie is captured by Fang in his plot to take over their home, The Labyrinth. When Talon returns, Maggie is freed by a battle-fearing Claw who listens to her pleading. Once loose, her captivity capsule (or weapons storage locker thingie) is occupied by Talon, which no amount of lighting will penetrate. Maggie immediately risks venturing out in daylight with nothing more than a cloak and asks the gargoyles upon awakening for aid. Brooklyn agrees and he and the remainder of the NY clan assaults Fang and his followers. Fang is imprisoned while his two human groupies are banished from the labyrinth as are all weapons by Talon's degree. Claw turns against Fang at the last second, and Talon and Maggie are reunited happily.

While she appeared in the episode "The Reckoning" she offered no moral support nor did anything but look nice. Even Claw had more of a part than she did and he can't say anything.
