A small gargoyle who would later assume the name Lexington was hatched into the Wyvern clan in the year 958, several days after his older siblings Brooklyn and Broadway. Like his siblings, he is 40 subjective years old as of 1998, 20 physically, and 1040 chronologically, having been frozen for a millennium with the rest of the clan's survivors by the Magus in 994 AD. He is one of the Trio, and his small size and excitable manner are counterpoint to Broadway's bulk and Brooklyn's cool demeanor. He is a greenish gold in color.

Lexington is very technical-minded, and has a deep rapport with and understanding of machines and electronics. Even shortly after the clan re-awakened in New York, after the battle with the Commandoes, where Hudson thought the helicopter was a dragon, Lex recognized it as a machine. He extracted the disk from the Cyberbiotics tower computer when the Trio were led to attack that structure by David Xanatos, and he was already using a computer by the time Xanatos and Demona showed their true colors and attacked the clan. Shortly after these events came one of the defining trials of his life.

From prison, Xanatos masterminded the assembly of a highly skilled group called the Pack which was unmatched by any other human fighting team, and unlike most evil forces was not only capable of but thrived on teamwork. They were given a TV series following their heroic exploits against the 'evil ninjas' which was a huge success and made them wealthy and famous. However, the main purpose of the Pack was to test the gargoyles who had defeated Xanatos, and to that end his majordomo Owen Burnett rigged the TV in the castle so that when the Pack came on in the evening, it was on all the channels. The Trio became hooked on it, particularly Lexington, who was completely enthralled and exhibited all the signs of hero-worship. While this were going on, Xanatos and the Pack's leader Fox collaborated and got the rest of the Pack interested in the possibility of hunting gargoyles.

So it was that when the Pack had a live performance at Madison Square Garden, the Trio were in attendance. Lexington stayed after the show and resolved to meet the Pack in person, believing them to be useful potential allies. The Pack were surprised to meet him but concealed their true intentions, and by their encouragement and Fox's seduction persuaded Lex to bring Goliath to meet them. Lexington glided back home to the castle, and through an argument with Goliath and a short monologue about the necessity to find allies and kindred spirits, convinced the gargoyle leader to accompany him alone to meet Lex's heroes. The planned meeting turned out to be an ambush, and the betrayed Lexington nearly got himself killed in his blind rage. The gargoyles moved the battle out of Pack Media Studios into the alleys and rooftops, where most of the Pack was taken down with guerrilla tactics. Fox and Wolf took a female model hostage in an attempt to make good their escape, but this only ended up providing pictures and evidence of their crime for the police to arrest them on after Goliath and Lexington defeated them and left them in the alley for the cops.

Lexington had exhibited a highly trusting and extroverted manner before these events, and this betrayal of his faith wounded him very deeply. He became somewhat bitter and more introverted, and threw all of his energy into his meddling with technology. From only riding a motorcycle once and observing them, he was able to construct a high-tech bike for his brother Brooklyn, which was promptly destroyed by a bullet to the fuel tank in a battle with a biker gang. When he and Brook were captured by MacBeth, Lex observed the effects on the generator of Brooklyn's toying with their enclosure, and formulated a plan which freed Bronx to lead Goliath to them.

Lex's anger was brought to the fore when Jackal and Hyena appeared to try to assassinate Xanatos in a plan which, unbeknownst to them, had been set in motion by Xanatos and Fox themselves. He wanted to go after them to the exclusion of all else, even though they were needed to watch over Derek, who had gone to work for Xanatos. As it turned out, watching over Derek gave him his wish, because the twisted twins appeared to attack. The Trio thwarted the attack and took the helicopter the twins had been using, though Lex crashed it in the process. Lexington then demonstrated his mastery of machinery and electronics, enlisting his brothers to help him fix up the helicopter and make it even better than it had been before. Using the helicopter, the clan chased the would-be assassins to Xanatos' upstate retreat of Xanadu and defeated them.

After this incident, Lexington's hatred for them only smoldered even hotter than before. Brooklyn tried to counsel him, having experience with a latent hatred himself, but Lexington was unwilling to listen. When the Pack escaped from Riker's, Lex went into a frenzy wanting to find and destroy them. To pacify him, Brooklyn agreed to go with him to Pack Media Studios in case they showed up. The Pack ambushed them and Bronx there and took them prisoner, locking them up in an oil transport ship. Lexington went berserk with rage, and when the rest of the clan attacked and their prison was broken open, he attacked the Pack with a vengeance. When the Pack started to escape, Lexington took aim on them with a weapon. But fortunately Brooklyn's counsel had gotten through after all, and, re-evaluating his priorities, Lex let the Pack go in favor of saving Brook from falling to his death in the burning oil slick around the sinking vessel. Following this, Lexington's hatred of the Pack remained, but was at a more subdued level equal to what Brooklyn's hatred of Demona had stabilized at.

When Coldstone resurfaced in an attack on the Golden Cup building, the computer virus he contracted awoke the two other dormant souls within him. Lex was interested in the stakeout the police set up because they were using a VR-equipped rover to assess the situation. While Coldstone was going berserk during the gargoyles' dealings with him because of the three personalities trapped in the one body, Lex acquired the VR equipment the cops had been using, and reasoned that since Coldstone was part computer, maybe he could figure out what was going on. Hooking up his laptop and the VR gear to Coldstone, Lex sent Goliath into Coldstone's mind where the virus and Coldstone's evil brother were revealed. After Goliath came back, Lex removed the VR gear leaving it for the cops to find, and took Coldstone's dormant body and its wiped computer back to the clocktower, where he tinkered with it from time to time.

Lexington was turned into a human along with the other gargoyles during Demona's rampage with Puck; in human form he was still small, and had brown hair. Coldstone was stolen from him by Demona and MacBeth when they were under the Weird Sisters' geas, in a chain of events that led to Coldstone and his mate resolving to keep their evil brother from taking control of their body again, and gave the Sisters the talismans they needed to assist the Archmage's later attack on the humans and gargoyles of Avalon. He and Broadway attacked by Thailog, and though this was later proven to be a clone it reinforced some of the ill feelings that existed between Lex and Goliath.

After narrowly escaping Thailog's clutches, at Hudson's advice Goliath began thinking about a second in command to replace him should he fall. The Trio began to vie among each other for this position, each playing with their strengths. Lexington of course exhibited his agility and intelligence. But when the rest of the clan was captured by the Pack, Brooklyn bonded them together into a working team again, and Lex and Broadway helped him free the others and defeat the Pack, subverting Lex's hatred of them for a more efficient attack. When Goliath chose Brooklyn as his second, Lexington and Broadway weren't jealous but happy for their brother.

Some time after Goliath abandoned the clan for a while and went to Avalon, Arthur Pendragon and Griff were sent to Manhattan. Lexington successfully interpreted the ancient poem to find where the Lady of the Lake was hiding, and after that was the one who realized that the sword Excalibur was in the stone dragon at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. During the delaying action fought by MacBeth's minions Fleance and Banquo, Lex figured out how the gargoyles could get height to fly despite the lack of a structure to do so from, positioning the humans' flitters as stepping-stones in air. Also, during the Avalon affair, Lex and Broadway caught Hyena breaking into the museum in an attempt to destroy the Mayan Sun Amulet, and defeated her.

The most nightmarish part of Goliath's journeys in Avalon was the part-prophetic vision Puck sent him into, a blasted 2036 version of Manhattan in which Brooklyn had marshalled the humans, gargoyles and mutates of the city under his control in an attempt to fight Xanatos, who had wrecked and conquered the city and was trying to take over the world. Lexington was decked out in numerous cyborg replacements and armor, and was truly a cybergoyle. He exhibited a resentment and hatred of Goliath for his abandonment. Unfortunately for Goliath and the others, Xanatos had died years before, and Lexington was the one who had conquered the city and set in motion an unstoppable plan of world conquest.

Lex lured them to the castle where Broadway, Brooklyn, Demona and Angela were destroyed and very nearly killed Goliath in his Xanatos guise, but in an act of supreme will Goliath survived the incredible damage inflicted on him and destroyed the Xanatos form. After finding out that Lex was the true mastermind, Goliath tried unsuccessfully to stop his plan of world conquest, and escaped from the castle with Puck, who he thought was Elisa. These events made Goliath resolve finally to go home and to see that they never came about, and he sent the Gate into the timestream without a mind to guide it to prevent Puck or anyone else from ever gaining it again.

Shortly after the Avalon crew returned home, the Trio began vying for the favor of Goliath's daughter Angela. Lexington again tried to play the card of his intelligence and technological ability - and crashed another helicopter in the process. Ultimately, they came together as a team again and stopped Tomas Brod and Dracon. He was none too pleased with the clone, named Brentwood by Demona, which Thailog made of him, but with the rest of the clan defeated the clone clan. During Puck's body possession antics, Lexington became a host for Xanatos' son Alex, which was one of the chief factors that bonded the gargoyle and infant together.

When the Hunters attacked, Lex enabled the group captured in the airship to escape, found the tracking device on Goliath in time for the clan to scramble to safety before the clocktower was annihilated, and used the tracking device to locate the Hunter airship after the attack, where Elisa and Jason fell hundreds of feet from the dam. Believing her dead, Goliath swore to kill the Hunters and had Lex locate them again. By his skill, they found Demona and the Hunters in time to stop Demona from destroying the human race with the superplague she assembled with magic and Sevarius' specified components.

In the Goliath Chronicles, Lex and Alex's bond became more evident, and the gargoyle became very protective of the boy, almost as an uncle. When Alex was kidnapped Lex blamed himself for not being able to stop it. When he found out where the kidnappers specified that they wanted a gargoyle delivered, Lexington snuck off there despite Xanatos' and Goliath's admonishments to the clan that this would not help. He was captured and put in manacles, to be publicly executed. Lex recognized the politician's helicopter as the one that had attacked the castle though, and warned Elisa, who relayed the information to the rest of the clan and thereby caused Alex to be found and returned to Xanatos. When Xanatos appeared at the rally with his child, the politician snatched Alex again and tried to escape, but Lex broke free of his bonds (injuring his wrists and legs in the process) and stopped him, recovering the child.

Not very long after, Lexington was out playing with Bronx when Bronx got stuck on a high-speed train out of state. He tried to follow, but the sun rose and Lex fell in the water beneath a bridge. Bronx was eventually returned. When in the Illuminati's custody, Lex was tormented by animals and robotic attackers. Finally, when Canmore made his last-gambit attack on the passenger train, indiscriminately attacking police, civilians and everyone else in an attempt to kill Angela and Bronx, Lexington and the others defeated him and Quarrymen and finally got the respect and recognition they deserved.
