Many of you know Demona as the only female gargoyle from Goliath's original clan that survived the Viking attack. She is a survivor, and willing to do most anything to contribute to her cause of destructing the human race. She hasn't always felt this way, siding with Macbeth even after being betrayed by the Vikings. (This was partially revealed in Enter Macbeth but fully recognized in City of Stone).
In fact, she is actually convinced that it is the human's fault, not her own, for the destruction of both her clans. She is convinced that all humans are primarily alike and would never accept a gargoyle under any circumstances, as she revealed to Brooklyn when she told him if he revealed himself to the city police that he would be shot "like a dog". This causes her to brink a certain deadly insanity that she occasionly gave into, causing many near deaths for Goliath's clan. She holds grudges against any human who has any fear against a gargoyle, even though Goliath said it was natural for a human in the episode Awakenings.
Basic Facts:
Demona was born in 938 AD. I've read various times of when she started seeing Goliath, but I know as a fact that they where already together by 984 AD, Demona being 46 years old, and 23 physical human years old. This was when she attempted to convince Goliath he was a better leader than Hudson was, because Hudson's age interfered with battle. Hudson overheard, and then told Goliath he agreed with Demona's testimony, thus making Goliath leader and Demona second in command.
Between 984 and 994, the couple concieved an egg, that was placed in the rookery and eventually became Angela, their only daughter, and one of Demona's true sources of pure, simple love. Of course this love was nearly ruined by the manipulation of Angela that Demona had thoughtfully planned in Generations.
In 994, Demona contemplated a plan with Wyvern's Captain of the Guard to rid the castle of all humans, leaving gargoyles to rule alone. The plan seemed fine, and all the arrangements went well until Goliath decided that he and Hudson were enough force to scare off the Vikings. (The "Vikings" were actually just a decoy target). Demona was worried, and tried to warn two of her rookery siblings, but the sun started to rise, so she spent the time saving herself. When she awoke, it was reavealed to her that all of the gargoyles were killed, except Goliath, Hudson and the trio. Not wanting to face them, she glided off, returning to see her love frozen in stone. She gave him a final kiss, and sunk into the night.
We don't see Demona for quite a few years, except a short moment where she scratches a young man trying to run her out of his father's stable (Gillecomgain), and she's aged quite a bit. She is now the leader of a rogue pack of gargoyles, and lives near a castle were a young Macbeth lives. She saves Macbeth's life in a search for the Hunter, but is angry and nearly attacks him when the Hunter escapes. Another encounter has Macbeth saving Demona's life, when she is aged much more. As time progresses, Macbeth and Demona team up, having made a pact with the Weird Sisters (who appeared to Demona as the three old gargoyles, and to Macbeth as three old hags he had met before) that Macbeth would exchange his youth for Demona's age.
Not much happens until Canmore returns and convinces Demona to aid him against Macbeth, whom she was convinced was on the verge of betraying her. This is when it is revealed by Canmore that Demona and Macbeth are linked in the way that if one should die, both shall die. They could've both died there and then, with Macbeth's son as King of Scotland and Demona's clan dead. (At least to her.)
So, Demona survives alone until she arranges for Xanatos, a handsome millionaire, to break the spell on Goliath and his clan. They are revived and Demona and Goliath are happy to be together, but it's bitter-sweet. Goliath sees a very different gargoyle than his past lover, and she sees him as weak. The clan wins against her and Xanatos' steel clan robots that they sent to destroy them. Demona and Goliath have a confrontation, where she reveals her name and he refuses her.
Not much happens, other than the usual takeover bid, until a confrontation with Puck, where he gives the gift of becoming human in daylight. She still remains evil most of the series, but Angela seems to be bringing a change about in her.
